Eoin McNamee is an Advanced Critical Care Practitioner at Ipswich Hospital and has been a CICM accredited Advanced Critical Care Practitioner since 2021. He holds dual professional registration as both a nurse and physiotherapist, having initially trained as a nurse in Ireland before subsequently qualifying as a physiotherapist in the UK.
Alongside his clinical role, Eoin is an Associate Lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University, contributing to the delivery of the Advanced Critical Care module within their ACCP programme.
Eoin has a particular interest in advanced practitioner education and workforce development. He has supported the training and development of Advanced Critical Care Practitioners across the region, as well as Advanced Clinical Practitioners within his own organisation. He is a strong advocate for greater collaboration between advanced practice roles and professions, recognising the opportunities for shared learning, mutual support and greater consistency in standards of practice. Through his role on the Intensive Care Society's Advanced Practitioners in Critical Care Advisory Group, he hopes to support these conversations at a national level and contribute to the continued development of the Advanced Practitioner workforce across critical care.
