Professional Advisory Group (PAG) Elections: Shape the Future of Intensive Care

Are you ready to represent your profession at a national level?

We are looking for new members to join our Professional Advisory Groups (PAGs). These groups are the vital link between our members and the Council, ensuring that the expertise of every profession within the intensive care team is heard.

By joining a PAG, you will help shape UK clinical practice, identify areas requiring national support, and influence the strategic direction of the Society.

Current Vacancies

We are currently seeking nominations for the following positions:

  • ACCP PAG: 4 vacancies
  • Consultant PAG: 1 vacancy
  • Nurses PAG: 1 vacancy
  • Pharmacy PAG: 1 vacancy
  • Physiotherapists PAG: 2 vacancies
  • SAS PAG: 5 vacancies
  • AHP PAG: 9 vacancies
    • Occupational Therapists (2)
    • Critical Care Scientist (1)
    • Dietitians (2)
    • Operating Department Practitioners (2)
    • Psychologists (2)

Your role and impact

As a member of a PAG, you will play a key role in the Society’s mission by:

  • Giving a voice:  Acting as a representative for your profession at the national table.
  • Providing expertise: Offering clinical advice and professional insights on matters affecting intensive care.
  • Supporting the community: Promoting the work of the Society and helping us better understand the needs of your colleagues.

Eligibility and Requirements

To be eligible for nomination, you must:

  • Be a fully paid-up member of the Society.
  • Be a member of the profession represented by the specific PAG.
  • Be based in the UK (we cannot accept nominations from those currently living or working abroad).

Please Note: These are voluntary positions. If the number of nominations exceeds the available places, the appointment will proceed to a formal ballot.

The deadline for nominations is 29 May at 09:00.

Before you submit, ensure you have:

  1. A Proposer and Seconder: Both must be current Society members. Join membership
  2. A Written Statement: This statement will be seen by your colleagues during the ballot process. Please ensure it meets the required word count and clearly outlines why you are the right person for the role.
