Do you want your voice heard at the Intensive Care Society on behalf of the intensive care community?
The routes to Council
There are two routes to becoming an elected Council member of the Intensive Care Society
- Via the any member Election pathway; and
- By being elected onto a Professional Advisory Group, where the Chair and Deputy Chair(s) have dedicated Council seats.
The number of Deputy Chairs on Council representing each PAG depends on the proportion of professional membership of the Society. If a PAG's profession has more than 200 members, they can appoint one or more deputy chairs depending on their amount of members.
Council vacancies
We currenly have two Council vacancies. Call for nominations will be announced on 28 September.
PAG vacancies
PAG Elections for 2026 have now closed. Elections for 2027 will open in Spring 2027.
How we conduct our elections
The Intensive Care Society uses a nomination form for the first stage, and the online system CIVICA Election Services for the voting stage.

Results
All nominees will receive an email informing them of the results and notifying them of next steps including when the results will be published.
Election results will be published on our website, in our newsletter and social media, and announced at our Annual Members Meeting on 7 December.
