James McManus | Critical Care Scientist

James is a HCPC‑registered Clinical Scientist in Critical Care. Having completed his Clinical Scientist training at Royal Papworth, he is the lead Critical Care Scientist at Broomfield hospital, part of Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

His interest includes supporting clinical research within critical care, clinical and medical device education, vascular access and point of care ultrasound.  He is FUSIC Heart and Lung accredited as well as being a FUSIC Heart mentor providing supervision and support to those working towards accreditation. He regularly teaches on regional FUSIC accredited courses.

As a Scientist Training Programme (STP) training officer James provides clinical leadership and education to future clinical scientists within critical care and is passionate about the standardisation and development of the Healthcare Science work force.
