Jade Beeston
I am a specialty doctor working solely in Intensive Care Medicine, although my initial training was in anaesethetics. In addition to my clinical role, I am clinical governance lead for my department, organising and chairing the monthly M&M meetings. I also run simulation sessions, as well as an annual departmental ALS/EPALS update day, with scenarios tailored to anaesthetics/ITU.
I am passionate about patient and public education with regards to resuscitation and ITU treatments, as I firmly believe that just because we can do something, doesn’t mean we should do it.
Working in a DGH, I see a range of patients, and one of my main areas of interest is paediatric stabilisation. I am keen to gain more experience in this area over the course of my career.
I have recently passed part one of EDIC and hope to sit part two shortly, with the aim of sitting the FCICM exams in 2027.
