Equality, Diversity and Inclusion working group launch

We are excited to launch Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Working Group and we need you to help us shape the future for our specialty and pave the way for the next generation of intensive care professionals.

Let your voices be heard and join our working group today!

We are proud to represent our multi professional membership and continues to support the intensive care community in what is our 50th year.  We are committed to ensure that our renewed vision for the future puts accountability for championing equality, diversity and inclusion at the core of what we do.  Despite the challenges of the last year, we have seen countless examples of good practice and outstanding leadership. If we are not actively supporting, representing and recognising the potential of every individual available to us, we are quite simply missing out.

It is for these reasons we are launching our equality, diversity and inclusion working group (ED&I). The Society would like to request nominations for members to our new working group. We aim to use this group to explore issues across a range of themes, including those relating to intersectionality, ethnicity, disability, neuro-diversity, social background, gender and sexuality. We aim to help develop ways of improving critical care for all staff.

Candidates should self-nominate and can be from any profession and any stage of training or seniority in critical care. Applicants must be members of the Society, have a passion for improving ED&I in intensive care and a desire to make the future of intensive care the best it can possible be.

To apply, please download and complete the expression of interest  form and return to Charlie.bearne@ics.ac.uk by Friday 16 April, 12pm.

Please note you must be a Society member to apply, if you are not a member you can find all the info on benefits and how you can join us here.
