Rachel Allen

Rachel Allen is Lead Critical Care Pharmacist at Midland Metropolitan University Hospital, Birmingham, where she directs pharmacy services for one of the UK's newest critical care units. She has over 10 years' experience in critical care pharmacy, with specialist expertise spanning cardiac, neuro, liver, transplant, trauma, military and burns critical care, developed whilst working within one of Europe's largest critical care centres.

Rachel is Chair of the West Midlands Adult Critical Care Network Pharmacist Group and holds an Honorary Associate Professorship at the University of Birmingham. She is currently working towards Royal College of Pharmacy Consultant Pharmacist Credentialling. Her professional interests include workforce development, education, leadership and multiprofessional collaboration. She is actively involved in regional critical care peer reviews and has presented at national conferences and educational events. Rachel is passionate about developing the future critical care pharmacy workforce, advancing professional standards, and strengthening the role of pharmacy within intensive care nationally.
