Michaela Jones

Michaela is the Lead Nurse & Associate Director of the North West London Critical Care Network, a role she began in early 2024. With over three decades of experience in critical care—spanning UCLH, Cambridge, and Southampton—she brings deep clinical expertise and a strong commitment to advancing nursing practice.

She has a longstanding passion for education, training, and leadership, previously serving as a Critical Care Matron and Senior Nurse for Education. Michaela is also Co-Chair of the Critical Care National Network Nurse Leads (CC3N) alongside Andrea Berry, and has been a key contributor to the CC3N Critical Care Nurse Education Review Forum for many years.

Michaela completed a three-year term as a Council Member of the Society and Chair of NPAG, where she remains an active member. She continues to support the Society’s work through collaborative initiatives and advocacy for critical care nursing. She is also a member of the UK Critical Care Nursing Alliance, an associate editor for the Journal of the Intensive Care Society, and an associate chapter editor for the Guidelines for the Provision of Intensive Care v3.

Her professional interests remain focused on education, training, and leadership to drive clinical excellence.
