Shond is the Intensive Care Society's President. Shond is a consultant in intensive care and anaesthesia at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and an honorary professor at the University of Central Lancashire. Shond is a past president of the association of northwestern ICUs (ANWICU) and has held several managerial roles both as a clinical director and on behalf of regional NIHR critical care research. He has an interest in innovation , the use of AI and effective implementation of sustainable projects.
