Caryl Longley

With over three decades' experience of advising business on a vast range of complex legal issues, Caryl is recognised as an experienced, skilled and respected senior legal professional.

After a short spell in private practice, she has spent the majority of her career in-house, firstly at TOTAL Oil, where she became Head of Legal, and then at Deloitte where she was the UK General Counsel and latterly the Chief Legal Officer for Deloitte across 30 countries from the Nordics to the Middle East.

As well as being a member of the Executive Group, a Managing Partner and member of the main Board, Caryl has led a multi-year Transformation Programme to build an integrated, international legal function within the EMEA region.

Since retiring from Deloitte, Caryl has used her wealth of knowledge and experience as a speaker, a coach and mentor to lawyers and leaders, a writer and is a passionate advocate for the rights of women and girls.
