Trustees Annual Report 2020

Nothing could have prepared us for what 2020 would bring but one this is clear, it truly has been a year that transformed the future of intensive care.

We do not have to spell out the challenges the intensive care community have faced over the past year, however, this has forced us to evaluate, adapt and innovate to ensure we can work better moving forward.

Collaborations with our healthcare partners forged stronger relationships and unified support. We were able to work closer with our members to better understand their needs and deliver 1:1 support. Intensive Care Research became a public health priority, allowing for a deeper understanding of the virus and the production lifesaving treatments. We have been able to highlight the importance of whole multi-professional team and the roles they play in caring for our patients, including post ICU rehabilitation. Deliver Public Health campaigns to raise awareness of our specialty. Advise Government on issues to keep intensive care at the top of the agenda and much more...

Our Trustees' Annual Report highlights all of the work and support we have given to our community to help give them the tools to keep caring for the nation.
