 SOA26 Frequently Asked Questions

What food and drinks are available at SOA26?

We’ll be providing tea and coffee during scheduled breaks, along with a different light meal option each day. These may include sandwiches, wraps, baguettes, or street food–style dishes.

Some of our exhibitors may also be offering refreshments, and there are plenty of food outlets in and around the ICC Birmingham if you’d like to explore additional choices.

We work closely with our venue catering teams to make sure that all dietary requirements can be catered for. Please remember to let us know your dietary needs when you register, and feel free to speak to a member of the venue catering team during the event if you can’t see your requirement clearly signposted — they’ll be happy to help.

Is the venue accessible?

Yes. The ICC Birmingham is fully wheelchair-accessible with step-free access throughout. Lifts, accessible toilets, and wheelchair-friendly facilities are available across all areas. Seating plans will also be provided to accommodate specific needs. Please contact soa@ics.ac.uk if you need any specific arrangements.

Is there support for delegates with hearing impairments?

Yes. A T-loop (induction loop) system will be available in selected areas to support hearing aid users. Please let us know at the time of booking if you require this.

Will there be a prayer room?

Yes. A multi-faith prayer room will be available on-site for spiritual, religious, or quiet reflection throughout the day.

What if I need a break from the event?

A quiet room will be available for attendees needing space to rest, decompress, or recharge away from the busy conference environment.

Are children welcome?

Yes. A family room with baby-changing and feeding facilities will be provided. Children are welcome at SOA26, and this space offers a comfortable area for caring for little ones.

What is SOA26 doing to promote inclusion?
