Supporting the SAS Community

The Society has endorsed #SASsix, a campaign founded by the SAS Collective to improve career development opportunities and retention of specialist, associate specialist and specialty (SAS) doctors across the UK. 

The #SASsix are a set of guiding principles designed to improve the careers of SAS doctors.

Working with our SAS doctor members we will continue to advocate for and support ways to encourage and facilitate the career development of SAS doctors.

Speaking about the campaign, Society Council Member and Speciality Doctor Michelle Hatch, said:

"SAS Doctors are a vital part of the Critical Care Workforce and deserve to be supported in their careers. As the chair of the SAS Advisory Group I am passionate about promoting SAS Doctors working in Intensive Care Medicine and welcome the Intensive Care Society's support for the SASSix Campaign and their commitment to valuing all those working in Critical Care."
