Reena Mehta Elected Honorary Treasurer of the Intensive Care Society
The Intensive Care Society is pleased to announce that Reena Mehta, Consultant Pharmacist in Critical Care at King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, has been elected as the Society’s new Honorary Treasurer and appointed to its Executive Committee and Trustee Board.
Reena was elected by members of the Society’s Council following an open nominations process and will take up the role in December 2026.
A longstanding leader within the Society, Reena currently serves as Chair of the Learning Division, where she has led the delivery of the Society’s multidisciplinary educational programme over the past two years. This includes the development of the popular Inside Intensive Care webinar series, bringing together expertise from across the intensive care team and making high-quality education more accessible to members.
Prior to this, Reena was the inaugural Chair of the Society’s Pharmacy Professional Advisory Group, helping to strengthen the voice of pharmacy within the Society and supporting the development of its multiprofessional approach to leadership, education and workforce development. She also represents the Society on the Intensive Care Clinical Quality Improvement Programme (ICCQIP) Board and contributes to a range of national collaborative initiatives.

I look forward to working with colleagues across the Society to support its continued growth, impact and long-term sustainability.”

Elections for a number of Council positions will take place later this year, providing members with the opportunity to help shape the future direction of the Society and intensive care practice across the UK.
