Our new guidance on the management of patients with gas embolism
The Society is delighted to publish new guidance on the management of patients with gas embolism.
Consultant in Anaesthesia, Intensive Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, Dr Pieter Bothma, and colleagues wrote this updated guidance to focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and care for patients presenting with this rare condition.
This is an uncommon but serious complication and the aim of this guidance is to support intensive care and resuscitation teams with the detection, referral and treatment of air or gas embolism.
