Introducing our newly elected Council members!

For over 50 years the Society has proudly been the home of intensive care. Created by ICU professionals to represent our community and support, develop and advance our specialty.

The Society is proud to have a Council consisting of multi-professional members made up of doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure we give the whole community a voice. It is because of this we are able to be at the forefront of developing and delivering world class learning opportunities; supporting pioneering research; influence policy makers; the publication of essential guidelines; and supporting our community throughout all stages of their careers.

Our 2021 elections are now closed, and we're thrilled to be welcoming six talented and dedicated members to our Council in December.

We had 14 strong candidates stand for election, and with only six spaces available we know the choice was a tough one.

We’re very proud to introduce the successful candidates, who’ll be taking up their posts at our Annual Members Meeting on 7 December. Four are newcomers to our Council, while two are returning for a second term.
