FUSIC® Goes International: The Intensive Care Society and Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) Launch Landmark Ultrasound Training Partnership in Singapore
The Intensive Care Society (ICS) and the Society of Intensive Care Medicine (Singapore) (SICM) are pleased to announce a strategic partnership to expand access to structured intensive care ultrasound certification in Singapore. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in enhancing critical care education and extending the ICS point of care ultrasound accreditation, FUSIC®, in its first international formal collaboration.
The introduction of FUSIC® Heart & Lung accreditations in Singapore provides a structured and standardised pathway for clinicians to develop essential Point of Care ultrasound skills, ultimately improving patient care and clinical outcomes.
“By collaborating with SICM, we are bringing internationally recognised point of care ultrasound accreditation to the intensive care community in Singapore. This partnership underscores our shared commitment to advancing intensive care education, supporting professional development, and improving patient outcomes,” said Marcus Peck National Lead for FUSIC® International Partnerships.
“We are thrilled to join forces with SICM to extend the reach of the Society’s FUSIC® accreditation process to Singapore,” continued Shond Laha ICS President.
Yew Woon Chia, SICM President added, “SICM is glad to partner ICS in bringing FUSIC® into Singapore so that our clinicians have access to an internationally-recognised point of care ultrasound training and certification programme. By enhancing point-of-care diagnostic capabilities, we can make timely, evidence-based decisions which aligns with our commitment to deliver high quality, patient-centred care in the increasingly complex critical care environment.”
