Are you interested in learning more about how to offer support to your peers through our Peer Support Programme?
Are you working in adult or paediatric intensive care, emergency departments, or pre hospital emergency medicine? Are you interested in learning more about how to offer support to your peers through our Peer Support Programme?
Then we've got a great opportunity coming up for you.
Peer support is a method of providing supportive conversations, 1-1 or in small groups. Colleagues with similar and shared experiences offer supportive conversations within the context of work
The training is online, from 9am-4:30pm, on Zoom. Its an interactive day of theory and hands on learning, with a blend of teaching and breakout rooms. You will enhance your knowledge of how people react to critical care work, and how to support your colleagues.
You will be committed to offering peer support in your local setting, with the support of your manager/ team leader to do this as part of your role. Hopefully, a small group of you from your team are willing to attend. You will also arrange your own local support networks to ensure you reflect upon your practice and work safely according to the guidelines we offer you in the teaching.
