Occupational Therapy Lead for the Digital ICU Recovery Pathway, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust

I’m Kate, the Occupational Therapy lead for the Digital ICU Recovery Pathway at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. I have over 10 years' experience working as an OT in Australia and the United Kingdom with clinical expertise in adult critical care rehabilitation and recovery. I hold a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (2014) from James Cook University and a Master of Research (MRes) with Distinction (2024) from King’s College London. In 2023, I was awarded the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Pre-Doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF). Since completing my NIHR PCAF I have contributed to a portfolio of nationally and internationally funded research projects spanning digital health, critical care recovery, rehabilitation and medical technology innovation. I am the Research Chair for the UK OT ECMO Network and Quality Improvement Lead for the OT department at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

Cameron Joseph

ACCS-AM trainee, Bath

Cameron is an ACCS-AM trainee in Bath with a keen interest in education through SIM training, point-of-care Ultrasound as well as research and development. He enjoys anything outdoors and can be found either climbing mountains or deep-sea diving in his spare time.

Professor Natalie Pattison

Professor of Clinical Nursing, University of Hertfordshire

Professor Natalie Pattison is a clinical academic who has worked clinically in cancer, critical care and critical care outreach. She is a Professor of Clinical Nursing with a joint appointment across the University of Hertfordshire and East and North Herts NHS Trust. Natalie also holds a Researcher in Residence (ICU) position at Imperial College London, working in the CATO team, with an honorary contract with Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. She is the clinical lead for critical care follow-up services, combining this with a research role. Her research interests focus on her clinical area of critical care and critically ill ward patients, end of life in critical care, and disability in critical care. She is widely published in critical care supportive care.  She is Chair of the National Outreach Forum, immediate past-Chair of UK Critical Care Research Group, and the UK Critical Care Nursing Alliance. She is also Deputy Lead for the National Institute for Health Research National Specialty Group for Critical Care.
