Iain Crossingham

Editor in Chief, Journal of the Intensive Care Society (JICS)

Iain Crossingham is Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the Intensive Care Society, having been an associate editor at the Journal for a decade.

He trained in respiratory medicine and critical care in Nottingham and then North West England before being appointed Consultant Physician in Respiratory and Intensive Care Medicine in Blackburn, Lancashire in 2011. He runs a sleep disordered breathing and home ventilation service for East Lancashire.

He has a long standing interest in the systematic review of medical research with involvement in the Cochrane Collaboration's Airways and Acute and Emergency Care groups. Due to the Dunning-Kruger effect, he feels he is pretty good at statistics.
