Pride and Prejudice: How misconduct erodes our workplace and what to do?

3.45pm – 5.15pm BST, 30 June 2026 ‐ 1 hour 30 mins

Stream 2

In this session, we explore the different kinds of misconduct in the workplace, with emphasis on issues in collegiate relationships and where people cross the line, including sexual misconduct. We’ll hear from NHS staff who have been through these experiences and how they came through the other side, including the Surviving in Scrubs Campaign. You will learn the research and theory around why this occurs, and the legalities and due process of what to do. A safe session will be created so that people can share stories, and space for debriefing with the presenters will be made available afterwards.

The session aims:

  1. An opportunity to hear personal stories and survival of misconduct
  2. Understand the theory and research of why this happens
  3. Understand rights, due process and the legalities to take action
