Leadership: LeaP

A key enabler to staff experience and wellbeing is the quality of their leadership. If you are looking to enhance your leadership abilities, please take a look at our two leadership Programmes.

LeaP 2

Our leadership programme has been designed specifically for intensive care. By drawing on a wealth of experience from executive and senior leaders across the NHS and wider industry, our fourteen modules have been built to nurture and enhance ICU leaders.

We have 25 places available for members of the Society to support you to develop your leadership skills to help staff to thrive and enhance your knowledge and understanding of collaborative and multi-professional working.

The programme will cover various areas of the healthcare leadership landscape including:

  • The challenge of a 24-7 environment
  • Combining clinical duties with leadership
  • Multi-professional working
  • Issues of authority
  • Complexity of people and systems under pressure
  • The voice of intensive care within the wider system
Lack of confidence and imposter syndrome is part of who I am, but this course has really helped with both of these and with additional knowledge my self-confidence has massively increased, and this has helped me so much as a leader
