MSc/PGDip/PGCert in Critical Care - Masters by online distance learning from the University of Edinburgh, in partnership with the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh .

The ‘Masters in Critical Care’ is a part-time, fully online programme aimed at all health care professionals who encounter critically ill adults in their daily practice. Core clinical subjects cover the recognition, assessment, and management of critical illness, and provide evidence-based knowledge that can easily be applied in clinical practice. Students can also customise their learning experience by choosing from several elective courses developed by local subject matter experts. The Year 3 dissertation project options include primary research, systematic reviews and quality improvement projects.

The programme is international and interprofessional, attracting doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals from across the globe. By delivering core academic content online, in-the-workplace training can be augmented without the need to take time out to pursue a further qualification. We offer the option to graduate after 1 year with a Postgraduate Certificate, after 2 years with a Postgraduate Diploma, or a full MSc in Critical Care after 3 years of part-time study.
