DESCRIPTION:This year&#39;s microbiology seminar is going to return to the root of Intensive Care Medicine and concentrate on sepsis. The subjects to be presented and discussed include the diagnosis of sepsis, current status of novel therapies, the effective and safe prescribing of antibiotics and cases of sepsis which require special attention (e.g. sepsis in children, obstetric sepsis). Speakers include Professor Paul Dark, Dr Nuala Lacas, Dr Tony Whitehouse with more to be confirmed.\n
