SUMMARY:ICS Education: Electronic Health Record in ICU
DESCRIPTION:Electronic observations, notes and prescribing is the norm on many UK critical care units, however, they are still in the minority. The COVID19 pandemic shone the spotlight on the lack of digitisation, which has resulted in creating makeshift digital records in many paper-based ICUs. This event will set the scene and start the conversation about Electronic Health Records done properly: what are the possibilities, how can we acquire and implement them and how can we use them to achieve better outcomes. Making the first step of changing paper to digital can provide an opportunity to carefully re-evaluate processes and align seemingly diverse groups to achieve the same goals: safer, swifter, more efficient patient care.\n
